Kalanguka crowned Miss Uganda

23-year-old Leah Kalanguka was crowned Miss Uganda at the Speke Resort Munyonyo on Saturday night.

Kalanguka beat 19 other girls to the crown of the fairest lady in the land thanks to her agricultural knowledge. All the questions asked by the judges revolved around agriculture as this year’s theme is about promoting agriculture among the youths.

Brenda Iriama, a 22 -year-old of Nyakapiripirit was named first runner-up while 19-year-old Yasmin Taban from Koboko was second runner-up.

Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka also took the Miss Photogenic title, while second-runner-up Yasmin Taban was also named Miss Personality.

Christine Tayebwa (22), from Kabale took the Miss Popularity & Miss Congeniality titles. She received her certificate from SMS One that conducted the public voting process via SMS.
