Money talks: Blue Labels honours billionaire Sudhir

Johnnie Walker Blue Label honoured prominent businessman Dr Sudhir Ruparelia upon his achievements he hosted an ultra-exclusive dinner party at his Kabira Country Club last week.

UBL MD Nyimpini Mabunda hands over an Alfred Dunhill signature collection Blue Label bottle to Sudhir. That particular bottle costs Shs750,000!

“The dinner was meant to celebrate Dr Ruparelia’s outstanding personal achievements, having made it to the Forbes list of billionaires as well as affording his affluent guests a unique insight into the complex world of Johnnie Walker Blue Label,” said UBL Managing Director, Mr Nyimpini Mabunda.

With a fortune valued by Forbes at $1.1billion, the richest East African stands at no.24 in Africa and no.1465 in the world, an achievement worthy of toasting to and what better way than with Blue Label, one of the pinnacle offerings from Johnnie Walker.

“Johnnie Walker Blue Label is the whisky of choice for individuals who don’t settle for less,” Mabunda said.

A bottle of Blue Label sells at Shs550,000, so it’s not a drink for everyone.

World renowned Johnnie Walker whisky ambassador Tom Jones flew in from Scotland to open the doors to the universe of Blue Label for Dr Ruparelia and his guests.

No one throws a party like Dr Ruparelia, so Blue Label pulled all the stops with a culinary experience of a five-course dinner, each course paid with a Johnnie Walker brand from Black Label to Gold Label Reserve to Gold Label, to Platinum Label and finally Blue Label which is the Johnnie Walker pinnacle offering.
