With the recent clash between government and a series of religious leaders gaining momemtum, Director Communications at Parliament Chris Obore has advised church leaders to understand the dynamics of politics rather than probing the political systems.

“The church shouldn’t expect politicians to play holy. Politics is not a holy game”, Obore  stated.

According to Obore, “There is no holy state. Let the state struggle to retain power and the church should struggle to maintain holiness.”

In this, he stated that the underlying forces of politics are the same worldwide before adding that government and church are totally different institutions  each with dissimilar roles and targets. For the church, he urged that it should strictly stick to preparing people for heaven.
