Makerere University ranked 4th in Africa, amongst the top 400 globally

The 2018 New Times Higher Education Index report has ranked Makerere University as the fourth best University in Africa with only South African Universities taking the top three places.

The same released report ranked Makerere University among the top 400 universities globally out of the listed 1,000 institutions.

University of Oxford and University of Cambridge both from United Kingdom topped the world rankings with California Institute of Technology, Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology from United States following respectively.

Each year, Times Higher Education releases an index report of all global university performance table to judge research-intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
