Salt media CEO and head pastor at House of Prayer Ministries International, Aloysius Bugingo is today expected to appear in Nabweru Magistrates Court to defend himself on the infamous incident where it is alleged he burnt thousands of bibles.

While leading the Sunday service yesterday at Canaan land in Makerere Kikoni, Bugingo expressed that people who dragged him court were misguided and they should immediately withdraw the case.

“Why should someone be concerned if I burnt bibles which have missing verses? Actually this case is not against me (Bugingo) but it’s against God because is the one who owns the bible. And on earth no court can rule a case against God. Meaning this mistake will bring an everlasting curse to our nation Uganda, ” he warned.

According to the pastor, fellow renowned pastors are behind this case because of jealousy of how his church has rapidly transformed the lives of the people of God. Bugingo called upon the court to dismiss the case.

“We have been fasting for now 14 days so that court can dismiss the case,” he confessed.

Last week court sent summoning letters to Bugingo ordering him to appear and defend himself on the alleged burning of thousands of bibles on Easter Monday this year.
