High court issues injunction against publishing stories on Kaweesi murder investigations

Kampala High Court has this afternoon issued a temporary injunction prohibiting media houses from publishing stories on investigations into the tragic murder of fallen AIGP Felix Kaweesi together with his driver and body guard.

The injunction will be effective until 21/August/2017 when police and other security intelligence agencies are expected to be done with investigation and the case ready to be heard before Justice Stephen Musota.

 This injunction has come following the filing of the case to the High Court in Kampala by Inspector General of Police Gen. Edward Kale Kayihura.

Through the Attorney General, Gen.Kayihura requested for an injunction against the publication of the stories on Kaweesi by the Red Pepper, The Investigator, Chimp Reports among others.

Kayihura argued that media houses publish confidential information relating to on the ongoing investigations without permission from Police or other security agencies.
