Eddy Kenzo becomes first Ugandan to be verified on YouTube

Singer Eddy Kenzo has today, February 24, 2017, got his YouTube account verified.

This development comes just a day after he uploaded his new music video Jubilation, which is off his Biology album that the singer is set to launch later this year.



“Yesssss my YouTube is verified. Team Eddy Kenzo, let’sJubilate mu Jubilation,” an excited Kenzo posted on his Facebook page.

Currently, the singer who got worldwide recognition after his Sitya Loss video went viral has 183,539 subscribers and 82,176,967 views on YouTube.

Despite top female comedian Anne Kansiime having 359,895 subscribers and 92,874,165 views, she is not yet verified.

Kansiime beats Kenzo in online presence, but he beats Uganda’s two music veterans Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool hands down.

Chameleone has 40,585 subscribers and 17,924,124 views while Bebe Cool stands at 16,361 subscribers and 5,557,229 as of this February 24.

In December last year, the Big Talent boss became the first Ugandan to get verified on Instagram.
